Who Can Use the Material?
These materials are free to use under the following conditions. They may be used by anyone who needs to inform others about Kalix — either to promote Kalix as a destination or as a complement to communication about a business, activity, or organisation.
The materials have been created for companies, associations, public organisations, and private individuals who are based in, or otherwise have a connection to, Kalix.
How Should It Be Used?
You are welcome to use the material in any communication about Kalix, for example in recruitment or other contexts where you would like to inform about Kalix.
All material must be used respectfully and in a way that contributes to a positive image of Kalix.
When using photos or video, it should be clear that the material refers to Kalix. The material must not be used solely as marketing for your own organisation without a clear connection to Kalix.
The Kalix-X design has been developed to help promote places, businesses, and activities in Kalix, and may be used to create profile products for commercial purposes or to promote your own organisation or activity.
For some images, photographer credit is required. This information is included in the file name of each image. In these cases, all uses of the image must be accompanied by the text:

Images and video may be cropped to fit your format.
To ensure a positive impression of the brand, always use the material in the highest possible resolution. Avoid blurry or pixelated images. The image bank includes a dedicated folder with images suitable for larger formats, such as large-scale printing.
Responsibility for using the material in accordance with these guidelines always lies with you as the user. You are welcome to use the material to highlight Kalix, but please do not redistribute it or use it in contexts other than those intended and expressed here.
More information about how to use logos and graphic elements can be found in the graphic profile.
You May Not:
- Distort or alter the material.
- Resell photographs for commercial purposes.
- Use the material for political or religious messaging.
- Use the material in connection with activities or organisations that could be perceived as unethical, immoral, or linked to criminal activity.
- Use images in a way that suggests people depicted support a particular opinion or message.
- Use images in a misleading way, for example to represent a different place, organisation, or activity.
- Create composites or montages using the material.
Using Your Own Images
Images used to represent Kalix should reflect the core values of the Kalix place brand: warmth, authenticity, friendliness, curiosity, and a welcoming spirit.
Consider representation when people appear in images, and aim for a balanced mix of nature and urban environments to create a realistic portrayal of the place.
